My truck was bought new in Worland, WY by an old farmer and soon after moved to Council, ID with him and his family.
I don’t have a lot of information after that but from what I can see I can only assume he completed restored it in the 80s or 90s because it’s been completely repainted and the original 360 was replaced with a 460 stroked out to a 501.
The original owner unfortunately passed away in 1999 and the truck was parked, until my dad bought it off Craigslist for $300 in June 2017.
My dad had big plans to restore it since his high school truck was a 74 F100 4x4 on 38s. He never had enough time to get around to it so he let me (11 at the time) wrench on it to give me something to do.
Eventually I fell in love with it but it was too big a project for me to take on at the time to make it road worthy so I bought a 79 then later a 76 and a few more after that.
I grew up and learned a lot on all of those and now I’m 16 and finally getting around to working on my first truck again.
