Chris' 1970 Highboy

@BodyByHighboy : What Year Is Your Truck

@major.tom1970 : 1970

@BodyByHighboy : How long have you owned your truck?

@major.tom1970 : 4.5 Years

@BodyByHighboy : When you purchased your truck, what kind of truck were you looking for?

@major.tom1970 : A good candidate for a highboy body swap.

@BodyByHighboy : If you could only share one story or experience with your truck, what would it be?

@major.tom1970 : I'm always looking to take my truck out on adventures and explore Colorado. One of my favorite drives I took Major Tom on, was to explore around Cripple Creek, Colorado. It was a fun scenic drive through the mountains. Something about driving an old truck on mountain roads is very enjoyable.

@BodyByHighboy : What upgrades have you made to the truck?

@major.tom1970 : When I bought the truck in October of 2018, it was originally a 2 wheel drive. It is now sitting on a 1976 F250 4x4 chassis. The truck no longer has a 360 FE or the T18 4-speed. It now has a 1972 429 V8 with a C6 automatic transmission. Modified bumpers. Front bumper came off a Ford Louisville, modified to mount a Zeak 13,000lb electric winch. The truck was originally supposed to Yucatan Gold, but decided to go with the classic Boxwood Green. Added cab lights. The truck is sitting on LT255/85R16 Yokohama Geolandar G003 M/T's.

@BodyByHighboy : What are your future plans with the truck?

@major.tom1970 : I'd like to replace the leaf springs, basically freshen up the suspension. I have a 429 thats bored .60 over that I plan to put in the truck. I'd like to built the motor for towing, nothing crazy.

@BodyByHighboy : We love stories about trucks. . . do you have anything else you want to share about your truck?

@major.tom1970 : My truck is very sentimental to me as my dad did all the work with body swapping it and getting it back on the road. So I like to take the truck out with my dad whenever I can and built those memories with my dad. Since my dad finished the truck, I've been daily driving the truck since 2020. It's been my most reliable workhorse. It's not a show truck, it's a work truck.
